KARACHI: The 182-luxury apartment Tejori Heights project to be demolished after being built illegally in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area, on land owned by Pakistan Railways: rules Supreme Court.
Within a month, Karachi’s Commissioner has been tasked to raze the building project, owned by Karachi Town Builders & Developers.
This development came after Pakistan railways filed an FIR against the propagators who encroached on land measuring 2,783 square yards.
“This is a never-ending problem in Karachi. If we don’t stop it now, it will continue to thrive,” said Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed as he gave the builder’s counsel a deadline of 3-months to reimburse the investments of the affectees.
