This transition, a critical phase in the project, is being closely coordinated with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Initiatives. During the discussions, Chairman Randhawa emphasized the need for a seamless and efficient handover to ensure that construction continues without delay. He also instructed PWD to work closely with CDA during this period, ensuring uninterrupted progress.

A comprehensive briefing was provided on the current status of the jail’s construction. According to the report, nearly 70-80% of the boundary wall and administrative block has already been completed, while work on the barracks and sentry posts is ongoing.

Chairman Randhawa underscored the importance of completing Phase I of the project by the set deadline.
