Islamabad, Pakistan- In a meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Saturday, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) reviewed its overall performance and took stock of various ongoing projects and initiatives.
Highlighting the importance of financial discipline, Chairman Randhawa emphasized the need to improve CDA’s financial stability. He directed all directors to submit monthly reports on their target achievements and urged CDA Board members to ensure that their respective wings meet their revenue goals.
To enhance revenue generation, the Chairman directed the Resource Wing to become more dynamic and report directly to the Member Finance. He expressed confidence that this measure would yield better results.
The meeting also delved into the progress of the Islamabad Beautification Plan. Participants were informed that under this initiative, traditional and cultural sculptures, elements, and designs are being installed at key locations and amusement parks throughout the city. Additionally, median strips, right-of-way, and landscaping of all roads are being undertaken.
In terms of modern amenities, the CDA announced that the first phase of digital parking will be launched shortly. The meeting also explored the possibility of introducing more entertainment options, such as cinemas and recreational facilities, to cater to the needs of Islamabad’s residents.
Furthermore, detailed discussions were held on projects specifically designed for overseas Pakistanis, which are expected to be launched in the near future.
