Islamabad: Following the directives of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, on Monday, amidst heavy rainfall in Islamabad, teams from CDA, MCI, and ICT remained fully mobilized to promptly address complaints of water accumulation in various parts of the city and ensure water clearance on roads.
According to details, the torrential rain on Monday led the administrative setup of the Capital Development Authority to facilitate the timely resolution of complaints regarding water accumulation from various locations, thus preventing any inconvenience for the citizens.
Furthermore, in line with the special directives of the CDA administration, special measures were taken by relevant departments to manage traffic flow on the roads affected by water accumulation due to the heavy rain. This ensured that citizens do not face issues like traffic congestion.
In addition, joint teams of CDA, MCI, and ICT remained active in sectoral areas of CDA, housing societies, including non-sectoral areas, and other regions. Thus, residents can be assisted through drainage pumps where necessary.
It is noteworthy that the leaves of concerned officials have been canceled in view of the rain situation, and duty schedules have been rearranged accordingly. Moreover, strict vigilance is being ensured in vulnerable areas during heavy rainfall.
