ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration is set to launch a Property Verification Centre which will monitor illegal sale or purchase of the real estate.
As per details, the launch is expected next week. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat announced that the verification facility will make it easier for people to check the legality status.
The move has been welcomed by all stakeholders alike as it brings transparency to the real estate market. Complaints have been frequently registered against fraudulent schemes with illegal projects, unapproved lands, improper documentation and fake registry papers. Overseas Pakistan is often deceived by fake real estate agents.
It is also observed that properties are sometimes labelled as “CDA approved” when they do not even fall within the limits of the capital. In addition, problems also arise when it comes to layout approvals. Plans are often revised by the housing schemes which later creates problems for owners when they cannot locate their plots.
