Islamabad: In regards to ease the mass transit on Islamabad Expressway from Koral Chowk to G.T. Road, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to seek help from housing societies located on both sides of Islamabad Expressway to build their own interchanges.
Gulberg and Naval Anchorage have already build their interchanges and now city managers are trying to approach Defence Housing Authority, Soan Gardens, Bahria Town and River Gardens to build their interchanges for a signal free highway. According to a senior official, if the scheme of burden sharing go as planned, then three bridges could be constructed by indigenous funding of CDA.
