ISLAMABAD: The government has allocated Rs8736.903 million to the Housing and Work sector, under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2020-21.
The budgetary allocation for 74 projects includes Rs1652.286 million for 33 ongoing projects and Rs 7084.617 million for 41 new schemes.
For the ongoing long Musa Khail Taunsa Road, Rs329.237 million has been earmarked to construct a 35km long road, linking it with Zhob.
To construct a bridge over River Ravi at Mal Fatyana District Toba Tek Singh, a sum of Rs 252 million has been allocated.
The dualization and improvement of Mandra-Chakwal road project will be carried out in Rs200 million, and dualization and improvement of Sohawa-Chakwal road project will be completed in Rs150 million.
Under the new schemes, Rs1000 million will be allocated to construct an industrial area road extending from GT Road to Ghazi Chak, and establish bridges on Bhimber Nala and Upper Jhelum Canal, District Gujrat-II.
Simultaneously, a sum of Rs 717.166 will be reserved to carry out the construction of the Servis Mor FlyOver and industrial area link road Gujrat, District Gujrat-II.
In addition, Rs 532.500 million and Rs 517 million will be allocated for the construction of M/Road/ RCC Road/ PCC/ Tuff Tiles/Culverts/Nallah and Drain in different union councils of District Gujrat-I, and the construction of metalled road and bridges in different areas of Tehsil Yazman, District Bahawalpur respectively.
