Islamabad: A committee has been formed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to finalize the relocation for slum dwellers.
On the prior directions of PM Imran Khan, a CDA official said work to shift 10 recognized slums mainly located in sectors F-6, F-7, G-7 and G-8 has been completed.
High-rise buildings and medium-sized flats would be constructed for slum dwellers in either G-7 or G-8. Cost recovery would be made on instalments by those who shift.
According to the CDA spokesperson Syed Safdar Ali, sector F-7 worth Rs20 billion will be used for commercial purposes once approval of the proposal by the committee.
