ISLAMABAD: In a bid to attract remittances through Roshan Digital Account (RDA), the government has planned a housing scheme worth $700 million for Overseas Pakistanis.
In this regard, a summary has been submitted by the Ministry of Interior to the Federal Cabinet for review and approval.
As per reports, the residential scheme will comprise 6000 housing units featuring one-bed and five-bed units spanning over 970 sq. ft. and 2300 sq. ft. Along with all the basic amenities, the project will feature a green cover, forests, and parks. The proposed plan includes two-way accessibility from Kuri and Park Road.
The initiative aimed to attract $2 billion will be marketed by global marketing companies to sell the housing units worldwide. To register for this facility, the overseas Pakistanis could submit their application forms to IDLF directly or through the marketing companies and pay a membership fee of 1000 dollars through Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA).
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will move the received applications through a balloting process to allocate apartment number/location.
