ISLAMABAD: The Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) is expected to earn annual revenue of Rs2.5 billion by 2023,” informed Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) Director-General Raza Ali Habib.
The development authority will be turned into a financially independent body, using the revenue collected to carry out various development projects.
To achieve this target, the authority has approved plans – including the establishment of a five-star hotel in Nathiagali worth Rs3 billion and the revamping of chairlift by installing ‘Australian-style chairlift’ in the vicinity, it was announced.
Apart from revenue, the projects will generate employment for the locals – who have been promised 50 per cent share.
