Federal, Provincial govts sign MoU for building Gwadar shipyard

QUETTA: The federal and provincial government of Balochistan has signed an MOU for the establishment of Gwadar Shipyard.

While speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, the Federal Minister for Defence Production, Zubaida Jalal said that the federal and provincial governments are working together for the socio and economic development of Balochistan as it holds a bright future for Pakistan.

She further added that the shipyard will create employment opportunities for the locals of Balochistan and it will also generate revenue for the provincial government.

While highlighting the features of the shipyard, the federal minister added that not only ships will be manufactured at the shipyard, but it will also provide repairing and training facilities.
