ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has unveiled plans for the construction of two underpasses and a signal-free corridor to enhance traffic flow in Islamabad. The underpasses will be situated at Serena Chowk and along Srinagar Highway, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion in the city.
During a key meeting focused on the underpasses project, Minister Naqvi emphasized the need to maximize the height of the underpasses. He assigned the oversight of the project to the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
The preliminary design for the underpasses has been completed, with NESPAK officials providing a detailed briefing to the Minister. Minister Naqvi directed the authorities to expedite the project’s completion.
The meeting was attended by Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with NESPAK officials.
