On the direction of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa, made a historic gesture by inviting the fire-fighting team from the Margalla Hills to his office to honour their efforts. Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa personally visited the seats of the firefighting team, shook hands with them, and commended their bravery. He announced, on behalf of the Federal Interior Minister, a special honorarium for the team involved in extinguishing fires in Islamabad.
Chairman CDA emphasized that the team would be provided with modern equipment to facilitate access to the hills during fires. Additionally, vehicles will be provided to ensure the team can quickly reach the fire sites. He praised the team for their hard work in controlling two major fires in the Margalla Hills, preventing significant damage.
Furthermore, Chairman CDA highlighted the risk of fires during the hot season and urged the team to remain prepared. He assured that immediate steps would be taken to address any issues faced by the team.
