Islamabad: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that the federal cabinet has removed height restrictions on construction of high-rise buildings in all commercial areas of Islamabad. The federal cabinet has taken this decision after consultation with the Civil Aviation Authority and the Capital Development Authority.
The information minister said that builders will no more require NOC from CDA and CAA on the height of their building. This decision will support vertical expansion of the capital in-line with the vision of the Prime Minister. Foreign investors would also be tempted to invest into high-rise projects as a result of this decision, the minister added.
