FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has taken a significant step towards digitization by initiating the issuance of smart cards to residential and commercial property owners under its jurisdiction.
This initiative aims to ensure the safety and security of property files and prevent any possibility of fraudulent activities, forgery, or tampering with documents.
Qaseem Alvi, the Operation Director of the FDA, provided details about the features of the smart cards, highlighting that the cards are equipped with advanced security features that will protect property files from any unauthorized access or misuse.
He further added that with the digitization of plot files, all data will be protected in case of theft, fire, or other incidents.
With the use of smart cards, property owners will no longer have to rely on physical documents for verification and ownership proof, as the smart cards will serve as a secure digital record.
The move towards digitization of records is also expected to have a positive impact on the real estate sector as a whole, as it will lead to greater transparency and accountability in property transactions.
