FDA bids to link Satiana Road to LHR-KHI Motorway

FAISALABAD: To reduce the travel time for commuters, the construction of a 40km expressway connecting Satiana Road via Gaitanwala Chowk to Karachi-Lahore Motorway has been proposed by the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA).

The project details were informed by FDA Director-General Muhammad Suhail Khawaja in a meeting of the FDA, presided over by MPA Mian Waris Aziz.

Through this project, the civic authority aims to bring the city at par with the international standards, also boosting the social and economic activity in the region.

The FDA will submit the project details to the Punjab government to be included in the Annual Development Programme of the next financial year.

In addition, the meeting also discussed the work progress of the Kashmir Bridge Underpass. Scheduled to be completed till June, the project is worth Rs150 million, which is to be issued by the provincial government.
