ISLAMABAD: The dedicated duties and functions of directorate officers, monitoring builders, developers, accounts and jewellers, in each city have been specified in an implementation plan issued by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) of the Directorate General of Designated Non-Financial Business and Professions (DNFBPs).
To restrain real estate dealers, agents, builders and developers, accountants and jewellery dealers from concealing funds, officials of the Directorate General DNFBPs have been granted powers of the Anti-Money Laundering Act 2010 to take action against those found guilty.
The deadline announced for the registration of builders and developers, accountants, and jewellers with the Directorate General DNFBPs is January 10, 2021.
In addition, officers of the Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue and officials of the Customs at Model Customs have empowered to practice powers of the DNFBPs, the notification read.
