ISLAMABAD: The country’s exports increased by 16.44 per cent in July 2021-22 in comparison to the same period last fiscal year. The statistics were reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Monday.
As per the data provided by PBS, Pakistan’s exports were at $2.001 billion during July 2020 and increased by 16.44 per cent in July 2021 to be at $2.330 billion.
Similarly, the trade deficit surged by 85.53 per cent, increasing from $1.673 billion during July 2020 to $3.104 billion during the same month in 2021.
On a month-on-month basis, a negative growth trend was observed; statistics stayed at $2.728 during June 2021 while decreased by 14.59 per cent during July 2021
