Lodhran: For small enterprises under the Ehsas Programme, 144 people including women were given interest-free loans in Dunyapur.
The cheques distributed by NGO Farmers Development Organisation stood at a total worth of Rs5.1 million [Convert Million to Lakh] and were in collaboration with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, an initiative of the Ehsas Programme by the federal government.
The borrowers come from four union councils- Dehi Dunyapur, 342-WB, 386-WB and Makhdoom Aali of Dunyapur tehsil.
The inaugural ceremony for Ehsas Programme will be held today at the Prime Minister Office where all the borrowers will be a part of.
