Peshawar: In regards to the decade long developmental plan in the tribal districts of Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), its government has decided to construct 8 to 10 small scale hospitals for every district.
Each hospital incurs a cost estimate of Rs11 crore. Five acre land has been allotted for every building.
The hospital construction plan will be included to upcoming year’s developmental programme. An initial draft has been made in regards to it.
200 Basic Health Units (BHUs) have been identified in the trial districts. They will be upgraded into a mini hospital under the name of BHU Upgrade. Services provisions will not only cater to the mother and child health, but also offer, dental and emergency services, family planning, mental health and more. State of the art technology will also be installed.
