Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam funds receive over Rs10 billion

Islamabad: Over Rs10.56 billion has been contributed to date for the Prime Minister and Chief Justice of Pakistan Fund for Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams.

While the nationwide contribution stands at Rs8.97 billion, the overseas Pakistanis have contributed an amount of Rs1.59 billion for the funds.

Pakistanis living in the US donated the most of Rs564.81 million as overseas with UK next with an amount of Rs388.69 million. An amount of Rs146.32 million was transferred through SMS service of cellular companies in Pakistan.

Countrywide, employees of the government of Punjab contributed Rs1.09bn, Pakistan Army contributed Rs582.071 million, Bahria Town Rs110.12million, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Rs100.28million and HQ CWO SPD Rs201.093 million.
