Islamabad: In a meeting of CDWP, chaired by the Minister of Planning, Development and Reform Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, two development projects worth Rs.913 million have been okayed. Other two projects worth Rs.96.4 billion have been recommended to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for approval on technical grounds.
The CDWP sanctioned the ‘Strengthening of Technical Capacity of Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination’ project worth Rs.418.717 million. Further approval by Physical Planning & Housing sector has been the Construction of Accommodation for HQ Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts and 114 Wing at Chilas worth Rs.493.869 million.
A two member committee from Planning Commission and Secretary Communications has however been constituted for the approval of Quetta- Zhob Section on the Western Route of CPEC worth Rs.79 billion.
The project of Power Division for interconnection of Isolated Gwadar and Makran Area with National Grid System of Pakistan worth Rs.17.42 billion cleared by CDWP is also under approval by ECNEC.
