Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan presided over a meeting on Monday. He emphasized on vertical constructions for slum dwellers as an important component of government’s housing policy.
Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed briefed on several ongoing developmental projects. These included the construction of shelter houses in Tarlai, Sector I-11 and Sector G-9. The anti-encroachment drive has been expanded to Malpur and Korang Area. PM was also informed on link road construction of sectors I-15 and I-16.
The meeting included additional briefing on performance of civic body, structural reforms in CDA, urban regeneration and completion of halted projects.
The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to PM, CDA Ali Nawaz Awan, Spokesperson to PM, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Special Assistant to PM Yousuf Baig Mirza and other senior officers.
