Construction sector to generate economic activity of Rs2.07tr

ISLAMABAD: In a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Housing and Development, PM was apprised that the construction sector will generate economic activity of Rs2.07tr in the country.

According to the details, the NCC on housing and development has estimated an amount of Rs2.07tr for all 307 projects.

Moreover, the NCC informed that the development projects will create 250,000 direct job opportunities whereas job opportunities double in number will be created in the allied sectors.  

Similarly, the NCC on housing and development has anticipated that revenue of Rs796.5bn will be generated from these projects while the economic activity of Rs1.28tr is expected to take place.

PM while expressing his views on the occasion said that the provision of affordable housing to the low-income segment of Pakistan is the top priority of the government.
