LAHORE: Allama Iqbal Industrial City Faisalabad (M-3 Industrial City) was granted the status of Special Economic Zone (SZE) by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, in the 3rd Special Economic Zone Authority Punjab.
Under the establishment of SZE, the M-3 Industrial City consists of over 4,000 acres of land that will lead to the creation of over 250,000 employment opportunities.
Furthermore, the status of the special economic zone has also been upgraded to an industrial estate in Bahawalpur. The area under the Bahawalpur Industrial Estate will consist of 483 acres. The industrialisation process to be expedited in southern Punjab will change the economic conditions of the area.
CM Buzdar further announced the establishment of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Lahore, which has been named as Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park. The SEZ will consist of 231 acres of land and the foundation stone of the project will be laid next month.
