ISLAMABAD: The Uzghor Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. – A consortium of China’s Sinohydro and Pakistan’s Sachal Grou has announced to construct a run-of-the-river 82MWs Turtonas-Uzghor hydropower plant in Chitral.
The hydropower project scheduled to be completed within 4 years will be located at a distance of 5km from the 108MWs Golen Gol HPP constructed on the Golen Gol River.
The execution of the project was announced after the submitted tariff petition was approved by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
The project design, feasibility study, and financial proposal of the project have also been approved by the Private Power Infrastructure Board (PPIB).
