In the initial phase, digital parking will be introduced in the city’s busiest Markaz and markets. To ensure the project’s success, Chairman Randhawa emphasized the importance of engaging all stakeholders, particularly local traders and gaining their confidence. He also instructed that parking regulations and charges be carefully finalized, drawing on the experiences of other cities and international best practices.

Chairman Randhawa highlighted that the revenue generated from digital parking will be reinvested into the beautification, uplift, and maintenance of the city’s markets and markaz. He further stressed that the project must include a system that prioritizes the needs of senior citizens, women, and people with special needs, ensuring a more inclusive approach to urban development.
