Over 98% of the work has already been finished, with the Kak Bridge now open to traffic. The structural work on the remaining bridges has been completed, and rapid progress is being made on the retention work and approach roads.
Chairman Randhawa emphasized the importance of integrating horticultural work along the Expressway during the construction process. He noted that the project’s completion would greatly enhance traffic flow throughout the city. Additionally, he recommended implementing an effective operations and maintenance model to ensure the long-term upkeep of the Expressway.
Following his inspection of the Expressway, Chairman Randhawa visited Park Road, where he assessed the ongoing road carpeting and structural work. He directed that the pace of work be accelerated to ensure timely completion.
