ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Tuesday approved 20 projects worth Rs 155.74 billion including establishment of three dams in Balochistan at the cost of Rs40 billion.
The CDWP recommended a Rs 49946.070 million project named “Construction of Gilgit- Shandor Road on EPC Mode” to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for review.
Three other projects were approved by the CDWP namely “Feasibility Study and Transaction Advisory Services for Peshawar Greater Railways” worth Rs 64.934 million, “Construction Rehabilitation Improvement & widening of Chitral Ayun Bumborate Road” worth Rs 7022.580 million, and “Rehabilitation and Up-gradation of Awaran Jhaljao Road” worth Rs 7412.722 million.
As per sources, other projects related to transport & communications, education, energy, environment, health, governance, information technology, water and physical planning & housing were presented in the meeting.
