ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP), on Wednesday, approved thirteen development projects worth Rs58.23 billion for its Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
The meeting was presided over by Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan, in which twelve uplift schemes were approved at the cost of Rs30.32 billion and one project worth Rs27.9 billion was recommended to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for review.
As per reports, CDWP has approved several projects in the past weeks at the estimated cost of Rs600 billion. These include projects related to education, housing, commerce etc.
As per reports, projects presented in the meeting include “Construction of Flyovers at Various Locations of Quetta City” worth Rs3053.49 million, “Construction of Road from Pirwkoh to Peer Sohri Darbar” worth Rs371.66 million, Construction of Road from Sui to Bijo Qabristan Asreli, District Dera Bugti” worth Rs438.250 million, “Construction of Road from Sui to Chakar Marri” worth Rs275.642 million, “Construction of Tourism Highway from Lower Topa Murree to Chowk Pindori” worth Rs4039.788 million, “Construction of Road from Pirkoh to Pathar Nala” worth Rs380.500 million, “Dualization of Road from Lahore Sargodha, Khushab & Mianwali Road” worth Rs9400 million, “Dualisation of Road from Salam to Sargodha” worth Rs7400 million and Feasibility for Road Sector Projects of Government of Balochistan” worth Rs507.477 million.
