ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced that 50 per cent of the street lights will be switched off as part of the energy conservation plan introduced by the federal government.
The decision has been taken in accordance with the austerity campaign launched by the government to address the energy crisis.
The CDA has further urged the residents of the city to conserve energy and minimize wastage in their daily lives.
According to a CDA spokesperson, the street lights will not be switched off in the residential areas for the ease of residents at night.
