ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allocated Rs22 million for the construction of jogging tracks throughout the city.
According to a CDA spokesperson, the tracks are being constructed throughout the green belts of Faisal Avenue adjacent to sectors G-7/1 and G-7/2.
Moreover, tracks will be built around the green belts opposite to PIMS Hospital and Fazal Haq Road adjacent to the northern side of sector G-6/2. Construction of jogging tracks in sector F-7/2 and F-5 are also in full swing,
The move comes under CDA’s special measures to ensure citizens have access to healthy activities. A campaign is also underway to promote a healthy lifestyle among Islamabad’s residents, as directed by CDA Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed.
In similar fashion, the civic agency has also directed the Environment Wing to plant more trees throughout the city to promote a clean, fresh atmosphere.
