Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to establish Pakistan’s largest IT park in Sector G-10. Following the directives of the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority, various departments related to technology and digitization are swiftly digitizing all CDA offices while also taking multiple initiatives to provide IT facilities to citizens.
According to details, the CDA Board has approved the establishment of an IT park on 3.3 acres of land in Islamabad’s Sector G-10, with plots allocated for the purpose. Moreover, Islamabad’s IT park will be established through a public-private partnership. The core area of the park will cover 100,000 square feet and is expected to accommodate 5,000 to 6,000 freelancers.
The IT park will offer working space for freelancers and startups, software houses, libraries, IT product displays, research centers, conference halls, and meeting rooms. It is important to note that all expenses for establishing the Islamabad IT park will be borne by private companies, and after 15 years, the park will be transferred to the CDA. Private companies will also have the opportunity to rent space in the park to set up IT offices.
This initiative aims not only to enhance the revenue of the CDA but also to provide modern and standardized IT facilities to the residents of Islamabad. The Capital Development Authority emphasizes that equipping Islamabad with the latest facilities is among its top priorities, ensuring that residents receive every possible convenience.
