ISLAMABAD: To track the progress of development projects in the capital and ensure timely completion amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced the development of a project monitoring system.
The work to develop the monitoring system was initiated on the directives of CDA Chairman and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Chief Commissioner Aamer Ali Ahmed.
Under the initiative, the authority will install cameras on all project sites, which in turn will be connected to the main monitoring system set up in the conference room at CDA headquarters, to provide a love-stream around-the-clock.
By doing so, the system will generate real-time work progress data of the development projects.
The civic authority has installed cameras for the system at the Burma bridge construction, and the Sector G-7/G-8 underpass construction sites and plans to expand to other development project sites.
Furthermore, CDA will also develop a mobile application, which will only be accessible by concerned officers.
