The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has revealed plans to auction two exclusive plots in Islamabad, targeting international investors and overseas Pakistanis. The auction, set for December 17, 2024, is part of a broader strategy to attract foreign capital and foster economic development. Announced during a meeting chaired by the CDA chairman, the initiative underscores the authority’s commitment to optimizing the city’s real estate potential by offering high-value investment opportunities in the hospitality sector.
These projects are specifically designed to appeal to overseas Pakistanis and global enterprises, providing a gateway for them to invest in Islamabad’s thriving real estate landscape. The auction not only promotes the growth of the luxury hotel industry but also offers expatriates a chance to contribute meaningfully to national progress while benefiting from the city’s expanding infrastructure.
In the same meeting, CDA officials also discussed initiatives to modernize Islamabad’s waste management systems. A comprehensive study on integrated waste management was reviewed, with plans to finalize bidding documents for outsourcing services. Furthermore, efforts to establish a specialized solid waste management company under the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) are progressing, signaling the CDA’s intent to prioritize urban sustainability alongside economic growth.
This dual approach highlights Islamabad’s ambition to emerge as a hub for global investment and environmentally conscious urban development.
