Islamabad: Under the directives of the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), a concerted effort is underway to digitize all office affairs of the CDA swiftly, in collaboration with various technical and digitalization departments. According to the details of the memorandum, a modern Property Management System will be introduced to computerize the records of citizens’ properties, ensuring transparency and safeguarding against record tampering or leakage.

The establishment of an e-office will be implemented as per the agreement between CDA and PITB to ensure transparency in all information related to properties, preventing record manipulation or leakage. Additionally, recording will be secured through modern methods.

Furthermore, the primary objective of this initiative is to empower the Capital Development Authority (CDA) within the realm of “Smart Governance” by integrating new tools and technologies, enhancing its decision-making process, and ultimately achieving e-empowerment for the authority.

This is aimed at providing citizens and applicants with expedited services related to their allotments, transfers, and other facilities. This initiative will aid in securing records of citizens’ properties and lands, while granting access to any type of record through a single click using ID and a specific password.

It is important to note that under this agreement, an e-filing system will also be introduced, with all data linked to a central database, facilitating access to desired records for departments such as Building Control, Estate, and Land, among others.

Moreover, maintaining the confidentiality of accessed ID and its records will be incorporated into the system to ensure transparency in every possible manner. It should be clear that while digitizing the records of citizens’ properties and lands, the process of securing records through traditional means will continue.

The memorandum between the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will enable departments such as Estate, One Window Operations, and Building Control to contribute effectively to the City Management System.
