ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Agency (CDA), on Thursday, chalked out a comprehensive plan for a tree plantation drive in the federal capital.
CDA Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed chaired the meeting which was also attended by directors of the Environment Directorate. The opinion was to push the campaign during the monsoon season.
The chairman issued directives that about three and a half lacs saplings, around 6 feet in length, should be planted in the city by the end of year.
The areas marked out include 10th Avenue, 11th Avenue, Park Enclave, Diplomatic Enclave, Fatima Jinnah Park, Srinagar Highway, Islamabad Highway, 9th Avenue, Margalla Road, National Park and Margalla Hills.
