On Friday, Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Minister for Law and Justice, informed the Senate that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has introduced a new approach for the relocation of plants and trees during road expansion or development projects. In his response to several questions raised during the Question Hour, the minister acknowledged that while this task posed significant challenges, it was essential for safeguarding the environment.
The new mechanism ensures that plants are carefully shifted from their original locations to new sites to prevent harm to the region’s flora and fauna. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to preserving the natural landscape, even amidst urban development, and demonstrates a more environmentally conscious approach to infrastructure growth.
