Under the chairman’s orders, the Enforcement Wing, in collaboration with the Building Control Section, district administration, and Islamabad Police, conducted a robust operation in Islamabad’s Zone 2, specifically in sectors G-15 and F-15, targeting violations of building bylaws.
As a result, several buildings were sealed. In sector G-15, 23 buildings were sealed, while in sector F-15, 3 buildings were sealed, with notices issued to the owners for violating building regulations. A total of 26 buildings were sealed, and notices were served to their owners.
Similarly, per the chairman’s directives, a major operation was carried out in Jinnah Housing Society, located in Zone 5, to remove illegal constructions and encroachments. During this operation, eight construction material depots, five shuttering depots, four scrapyards, 12 fruit and vegetable stalls, five roadside hotels (chappal hotels), four property offices, eight chicken shops, four tuck shops, and one service station were demolished using heavy machinery, and government land was reclaimed.
Furthermore, operations were conducted in sectors I-8, I-9, and I-10, where nine roadside hotels were demolished with heavy machinery and government land was reclaimed.
