ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) have joined efforts to prepare a 10-year plan targeting the preservation of Margalla Hills National Park (MHNP).
As per the officials, proposals will be drafted focusing on the preservation of wildlife and the protection of animal and bird species. The issue of tree-cutting by the local population will also be addressed.
According to the details, the focal point of the efforts will be to restore the true essence of the Margalla Hills in tandem with the Clean Green Pakistan Initiative. Measures will be taken to create trekking paths along with the construction of cycling tracks.
