CDA gives go ahead to two new interchange projects

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) approved construction of two new interchange projects in Islamabad.

According to details, the civic agency earmarked Rs1.47 billion for the Shaheen Chowk project while Rs1.42 billion were allocated for E-11 Chowk project. 

As per CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed, the two interchanges will be beneficial for the masses and will resolve the traffic congestion issue on  Ninth Avenue and Margalla Road. 

The CDA also announced that it is going to engage a consultant to suggest remedial measures in order to increase mobility and safety at several locations.
