ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) demolished 6,295 illegal structures including roads, markets, sidewalk tracks and green belts in the past year.
According to a CDA official, Rs 4.082 million have been recovered as a penalty from trespassers.
The Directorate of Enforcement conducted 1,142 anti-encroachment operations in the past year to uphold the local body laws in a bid to reduce the construction of illegal structures across the federal capital.
As per reports, the Directorate of Municipal Administration was conducting the operations under the administrative control of the Municipal Corporation, Islamabad (MCI).
