According to the latest reports, the CDA’s anti-encroachment operation is in full swing, with the Enforcement Directorate, in collaboration with various departments, conducting a mega operation against an illegal Afghan settlement near Sector I-12, close to NUST University, on Tuesday. The operation involved the use of heavy machinery and resulted in the demolition of numerous rooms and livestock sheds.

As a result of this operation, 450 kanals of land were reclaimed and handed over to the development authority, ensuring swift progress in various development projects.

Additionally, comprehensive actions were taken against encroachments on Simli Dam Road and Murree Road, which are connected to Bahara Kahu. Numerous unauthorized sheds and fruit stalls on both sides of the road were removed, and six trucks containing confiscated goods were seized.

Furthermore, Building Control North issued notices to the owners of several buildings in the Potohar Avenue area for violations of building codes.
