ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has begun a large-scale renovation to enhance healthcare services for patients. The project aims to upgrade the entire infrastructure of Islamabad’s largest hospital, ensuring better medical facilities.
The federal government approved a grant of Rs 400 million for the renovation, with Rs 250 million already released. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been tasked with executing the project, which includes extensive ward renovations and facility improvements.
This initiative follows the special directives of the prime minister, with significant efforts from Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Health Dr. Mukhtar and Health Secretary Nadeem Mehboob. The renovation is expected to modernize the hospital, providing enhanced care for patients in the federal capital.
