ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Noor ul Amin Mengal, recently made an announcement via Twitter that the Park & Ride facility situated near the Metro Stations is now open for all.
According to Mengal, the facility is now open for public use free of cost for parking their vehicles. However, he also emphasized that parking inside the Metro building itself is strictly forbidden.
Yet, some bike users reportedly tried to park their vehicles within the Metro access building but were swiftly stopped by the security guards.
The Park & Ride facility was specifically established to provide a safe and convenient parking option for commuters who wish to use the Metro service. It has designated areas where commuters can park their vehicles and easily access the Metro station.
The Park & Ride facility is a significant step towards providing a more accessible and efficient public transportation system for the people of the city.
