ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiative Asad Umar inaugurated the federal capital’s biggest vaccination centre in Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9 Park) with vaccination capacity of 7000 to 10,000 persons daily.
Secretary Health, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Capital Development Authority (CDA) Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan, and representatives of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) were also present.
As per District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Zaeem Zia, the timings will be consistent with the rest of the centres in the country i.e from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday will be an off-day.
As per reports, approximately 100 people have been hired to vaccinate people in these mass vaccination centres.
Presently, around 17 vaccination centres are providing services in rural and urban areas of Islamabad. These include CDA Hospital G-6, Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital, CDA Medical Centre, G-9/4, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), NIRM, Polyclinic, RHC Tarlai, Federal Govt Hospital, RHC Sihala, Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital, Kulsoom International, RHC Bhara Kahu, Maroof Hospital F-10, RHC Tarlai and IHITC.
