Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) has directed extensive actions to curb illegal constructions in the city of Islamabad. In accordance with this directive, the Building Control Section, in collaboration with the Enforcement Directorate, district administration, and Islamabad Police, has undertaken rigorous operations in Zone 5 of Islamabad, resulting in the sealing of numerous buildings for violations.
According to details, in Zone 5 of Islamabad, 40 buildings were under construction without approval from the CDA, prompting authorities to seal them and issue notices to the owners for violation of building by-laws.
Efforts to eradicate encroachments from the city and take action against illegally constructed buildings will continue in sequence. It is pertinent to mention that for several months now, the federal capital has been witnessing active operations by the CDA against unauthorized encroachments, illegal constructions, and violations of building by-laws.
