Karachi: The court has directed the Sindh Government to rectify the collapsing city conditions and resolve civic matters with absolute promptness.
The court has directed the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to ensure construction of proper bridges and crossings for pedestrians. The CM has been asked to implement the court order and submit compliance report.
The Karachi commissioner has been sought for obtaining proper opinions from respective experts on using old buildings under construction for commodity exchanges. The chief secretary, commissioner Karachi, DG KDA, KMC, LDA and SBCA have been asked to report submissions on the removal of encroachments from amenity lands. DHA administrator has been asked to do the same from open plots and submit a compliance report.
Chairman Karachi Port Trust has been asked for report submission if all port lands are being used for port purposes in line with the KPT Act.
Court has ordered several others including the secretary of defence, DG SBCA, and other civic agencies to clear off encroachments form their respective cantonments, submit master plans for a review of property conversions and optimal allocation of infrastructure.
All agencies have been directed to comply with the court orders and submit reports.
