About LCWU
One of the highly esteemed colleges in Lahore, the Lahore College for Women University has a teaching staff of over 500 members and accommodates approximately 15,000 full-time students across Intermediate, Graduate, Masters, and Ph.D. programs.
During autonomy in 1990, the university offered Masters programs in only six subject areas. However, now that it has attained university status, it offers various programs at the graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. It offers a 4-year BS degree program in 39 different disciplines, including a 5-year program for Pharmacy and Architecture.
Furthermore, the university provides opportunities to pursue M.A/M.Sc. degrees in six subjects, MS/M.Phil degrees in 28 subjects, and Ph.D. programs in 16 different fields, including Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, City & Regional Planning, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Physics, Political Science, Education, Applied Psychology, Islamic Studies, Urdu, Punjabi, and Fine Arts.
