The stadium, also known as Senator Muhammad Ishaq Baloch Cricket Stadium Gwadar, is the result of a collaboration between the provincial government and the Pakistan Army.

The stadium is close to significant structures that are currently under construction in the city. It is also located close to the intersection of Sabzi Mandi Road and Makran Coastal Highway.

This stadium has a 34,228-seat capacity.
